Project Story Hawaii ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit projectstoryhawaii.com or contact us, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using our website, you agree to this policy.
Information you give us. When you submit an inquiry or booking request, we collect the details you provide — such as your name, email address, phone number, event type and date, venue or location, and any message you send. If you book, we may also collect information needed to fulfil your session and process payment.
Payment information. Payments and deposits are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Your full card details are entered on and handled by Stripe — we do not collect or store your complete card number on our servers.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical data through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you interact with the site.
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality, analytics, and advertising. This includes:
You can control cookies through your browser settings. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance, and manage ad preferences within your Meta and Google accounts.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate our business, and only as needed to provide their services. These include payment processing (Stripe), analytics (Google), advertising and measurement (Meta/Google), email delivery, and website and image hosting (including Cloudflare). We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Images captured during a paid session or event are governed by the service agreement you sign with us, not by this website Privacy Policy. Any use of client images for our portfolio, website, or social media is handled through that agreement and with appropriate consent.
We keep inquiry and client information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations. You may ask us to delete your information at any time (see "Your rights").
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to opt out of marketing, and to opt out of the "sharing" of your information for targeted advertising. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@projectstoryhawaii.com and we will respond as required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including HTTPS encryption, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the site. (Photographs of minors taken during a booked family or event session are handled through the client agreement, with parent or guardian consent.)
Our site may link to third-party websites and social media. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be posted on this page.
